Steps for using carpet shampoo:

In the first step, use a vacuum cleaner and high suction power. Remove dust from your carpet warp and woof.

If the dust remains inside, your carpet will get a dirty appearance.

Apply soft brush together with special shampoo. Coarse or wire brush may damage the carpet warp and woof. This must be taken into serious account.

Different stain solutions for cleaning carpets

Using homemade solutions can always be the best way to remove carpet stains, because these solutions can be easily prepared with a series of hand-made materials. The following are 3 solutions you can use:

Carpet shampoo and warm watter for tea stains

One solution which is always practical in every house is carpet shampoo. Since you don’t want to damage the texture of your machine-woven carpet, you should always try to use the best types of carpet shampoos to keep your carpet safe. You can mix warm water with carpet shampoo and make an effective solution to remove these types of stains:

  • Tea stain
  • Fat, grease and oil stain
  • Soda stain
  • Ammonia solution for old stains

Old stains are always tough things to deal with. Usually, due to forgetfulness or difficulty of cleaning, we leave the stains to get old, and this causes the stain to remain on the carpet texture for a long time. This makes it even harder to remove the stains.

Ammonia solution is the best stain remover for old stains. As you may know, breathing in ammonia is harmful to the lungs and human health, so be sure to cover your nose and mouth with a mask or cloth when using ammonia. Pour ammonia on the stain and wait a few minutes for it to work, then wipe the stain with a piece of cloth. Ammonia can also help glitter your carpets.

Warning: Do not mix ammonia with chemicals under any circumstances because it may emit toxic gases and be dangerous to you.

White vinegar for all carpet stains

White vinegar alone or with other materials can remove stains including:

1- Egg stains on the carpet

Eggs contain yolk and albumen which can create a sticky stain, so never let the egg stain get old. In clearing egg stains, the combination of white vinegar and lukewarm water can be very helpful. Also, a piece of white cotton can help you remove the stain. If you can still see the traces of egg stain, you can also use soap and then cover the foam with lukewarm water.

2- Painting and ink stains on carpets

Removing ink stains off the carpet may be a little difficult, but white vinegar helps a lot. Mix white vinegar with lemon juice and use this solution to remove paint stains and inks.

3- Stains of syrup and juice on the carpet

Spilling lemon juice can create a very sticky stain, so you better start cleaning right away. Use white vinegar, salt, a spray bottle, white towel and iron to get rid of this type of stain. Pour white vinegar into the bottle and sprinkle salt on the stain. Now you can spray white vinegar on the stain. To get stains out completely, it is better to absorb the solution with absorbent pads. We recommend you not to pull the pad on the carpet.

After that, place the white towel on the place of stain and rub the hot iron on it. We strongly recommend using a white towel because colored towels can add a halo around the spot.
